Xing-Tao Zhou, MD, PhD

Xing-Tao Zhou, MD, PhD. is the professor of ophthalmology, director of refractive surgery center, department of ophthalmology, Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University. He is now the group leader of Optometry and Refractive Surgery in Shanghai Academy of Ophthalmology, the leader of Ophthalmology in Shanghai Academy of Laser Science, and the member of both Optometry group and Cornea group of Chinese Academy of Ophthalmology. He was the first author who suggested and promote the concept of “Painless” surface ablation. He took the lead in China to practice VisuMax femtosecond laser surgery and all-in-one femtosecond laser surgery (FLEx/SMILE). Dr. Zhou has published more than 80 academic articles as major author. He has gained 9 domestic patents. He was the chief director of two books “Femtosecond laser surface ablation/ICL surgery” and “Pentacam”. He has been awarded 2nd prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2005, 2nd prize of the National Tech & Invention Award in 2006, 1st Prize in the Ministry of Education in 2004 and 2005, New Century Talents of Ministry of Education in 2008, 2nd Prize of Top reward for Shanghai medical achievement, Silver Snake Reward 2007.
